EXPM ANOXIA DISINFESTATION BUBBLE KIT
A complete set of equipment, instruments and tools to build anoxia bubbles for continuous and systematic insect pest control in archives, libraries and museums.
The anoxic disinfestation process
An ecological, user-friendly disinfestation method. It has no harmful side effects on the objects treated and no risk to the health of operators or users. An inert gas, usually nitrogen, kills insects by asphyxiation and dehydration, at every stage of development – eggs, larvae and adults.
System description
- Simple operation in safe working conditions
- Atmosphere parameters inside the bubble can be controlled, providing a suitable low-oxygen atmosphere to treat collections
- Installation, operator training and technical support available worldwide

How an EXPM anoxia bubble works
The material to be treated is isolated in a bubble of plastic film that is highly impermeable to oxygen, and the air inside is replaced with an inert gas (nitrogen, argon or carbon dioxide). EXPM inert gas bubbles provide a made-to-measure, ecological, non-toxic solution for occasional disinfestation of documents or objects.
Installation and user training
Provided worldwide by EXPM's specialised technicians.
